Hello there!
My name is Amy Badding.
I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families. I graduated from Iowa State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Services. After graduating, I landed my first job at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, where I worked as a Child Life Specialist with chronic and terminally ill children for 8 years. While working at the hospital, I attended graduate school from the University of Nebraska – Omaha and graduated in 2007 with my master’s degree in Counseling. After leaving the hospital, I gained experience doing in-home counseling, working for social service agencies, and then joining a group practice while starting a family. In 2011, my husband and I relocated to Ames with our 4 children – Maddy, Max, Kate and Kennedy. I worked as a therapist for Barclay and Associates for 1 ½ years and Central Iowa Psychological Services for 6 years. Finally, in June of 2019 I started my own private practice. My family still currently resides in Ames, and my husband Eric is an architect and works as a part-time instructor at ISU in the College of Design. We love to vacation on the Florida beaches, watch ISU sports, and we adore our pug, Rizzo.
